Flower Festival, Brampton, June 21, 2008
The Flower City Parade was held on Saturday, June 21, officially kicking off summer in the City of Brampton.
The City Parade remembered Brampton's Flowertown roots and celebrated the City's splendor as the nationally-recognized Flower City of Canada.
The parade consisted of brightly decorated floats made with vibrantly coloured blooms. In addition to the floral floats, the parade included lively marching bands, Shiner clowns in miniature cars, stilt walkers and more.
Lian Hua Arts Group, together with its sister team, Tian Guo Marching Band, was invited to participate the parade and brings many joyful audience to watch again. This is the third year that the city of Brampton invited Lian Hua Arts Group and Tian Guo Marching Band to participate in The Flower City Parade. Many members of the audience had seen the perfomance in the past two last years and joyfully returned again.
